What I'm Thankful for....

I am thankful for my mom and dad. I am thankful that I have them because if it weren't for them I can't imagine how my life would be without them, they have supported me since I was a little baby.

I am thankful for my friends because without my friends I can't imagine how hard it would be for me to survive, not knowing where to turn, or being able to talk to someone. But most of all I am thankful for moving here because I have more friends that are comfortable to talk to.

I am thankful for my education, thankful because I would probably not know things that I have learned in school.

I am thankful for my life that I almost lost a few years back because of an appendicitis that had irrupted in my abdominal area. 

I am thankful that I had a chance to have school here in Mister's last year of working.

I am thankful for my sisters. I am thankful for the secret unborn baby. Shh... it's our little secret :D...... AND NO! IT's not in me, if thats what you were thinking!! HAHA LOL

I am thankful my laptop, my television, and my remote (technology).

I am thankful for many things that are too numerous to name.

I am thankful for my cousins. I am thankful for my aunties and uncles, and my grandparents.

I am thankful for our elders for leading us and teaching us many things.

I am thankful that my aunt Burra lived to this day because without her my life would have been miserable.

I am thankful that my dad had responded to treatment for (something about the neck glands or something like that) cancer and is still here.

Most of all I am thankful that God even gave me life to live and that he suffered and died on the cross for us.

I am thankful that He easily forgives and loves.

I am thankful for teachers.

I am thankful for He who helps me when I struggle.

I am thankful for the Bible.

I am thankful for many things.

Last Friday

Last Friday I got so tired of waiting for our plane to Tunt so I went to Atmau for a night to visit. I was so bored and didn't feel right being there in my room, on my bed, at my house. I'm not sure why it felt so funny. I was really bored being in Atmau. One of my friends wasn't in town and I was so mad that I went home to visit in a wrong time. 

I couldn't sleep, but I  stayed up and thought many thoughts. I was really wondering why I felt the way I felt. Maybe because I haven't been home for so long that I had gotten used to being at my sisters house in Akiuk. My mind was really working hard that night and I didn't go to bed until like 5 or 6 in the morning.

The next day my other friends had left to go to Tunt for that Youth thing. I was so, so, so aliayuk and bored and for some reason I was homesick for this place :P... isn't it awesome?? LOL...So that Saturday evening I had planned to come back to Akiuk because I had nothing to do back at home and all of my friends were on trips. I told my mom that I would be back on another weekend when my friends were there. 

When I got here I went to my brother's house to warm up for 5 minutes. THen my brother and I went to Akula for a ride. After that I went home and started scribbling on my notebook. I had realized that I wasn't feeling awkward as I was before when I was back at home. It scared me a lot because I was scared that I would never be able to get used to home again.

HOW EXCITING! Steven Blanchet is here to teach more Eskimo dances to the Akiuk students. I'm so excited. Having to learn Akiuk Eskimo dances that Steven had taught is so amazing. I thought that I would never learn the dances. In the beginning I went from a starter to a basic Akiuk dancer, isn't that funny? "BASIC" L.O.L

But soon I am going to get better at dancing the Eskimo dances that I once didn't know of. The Akiuk Eskimo dances are so fun to learn and enjoy. I was having so much fun on Sunday when we were dancing. But I was so embarrassed when Steven said that I moved my hips so good on that one Eskimo dance song. I forgot which song, but that song was the one I really liked.

I wouldn't have started dancing if my friends hadn't encouraged me to start. They kept on telling me that I would soon learn if I kept on practicing at the times that they practice. All I'm saying is that I am happy for the Akiuk dancers because they are lucky to have Steven here to teach them awesome Eskimo dancing songs.

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!!

Halloween was Fun! Friday wasn't that fun, but it was okay and the people that were dancing funnily with masks on were awesome.

SATURDAY was the best part of my halloween weekend. I had so much fun in the haunted house scaring people. Most people were scared of me except for some people that aren't alingtaq.

I was dressed as a girl that died in an operation while awake.

Everybody was so freakily dressed and looked scary. The principal's wife did a great job painting their faces. My reading and writing teacher was the one that did my make-up and when she put the fake blood on me, I had to stay put in one place so that the blood would not come off.

During the haunted house thing, I was really getting tired of staying on the table lying and screaming, so I just went on the floor and started crawling freakily towards people when they came into the room.

Fast Forward or slow Motion

I'm not really sure if i would wish life went by fast or slow. BUT,I wish fun, important things went by slow. There were so many good times that went by fast and I wish I could rewind time to have that ecstatic feeling again....BUT, I'm glad that time passes fast when bad things that occur. 

And I wish that I could be able to control a time warp to be able to go back in time to see one of the loved ones that my family had lost.

I'm not sure if I should want time to go by fast or slow because there are some different reasons why and why not things should go by fast or slow. So I'm up for both, fast forward when things go wrong, slow motion for fun, important things.
